Preparatory visit to the Museum
The purpose of this visit is to prepare the teacher to take his/her class to the permanent exhibition room of the Folklore Museum. Considering that the teacher, who knows the reality of his/her class, is the best partner in building up the relationship of the school with the museum and popular culture. The project proposes that, based on information and concepts with which the National Centre of Folklore and Popular Culture works, the teacher creates the best way to explore the visit to the museum with his or her pupils.
This visit to the permanent exhibition lasts around three to four hours, after which they re-discuss the concepts of folklore and popular culture, and the teacher is also introduced to the other services and collections in the Centre. This is a good opportunity for CNFCP to know the schoolâ??s experiences, interest and expectations in relation to the Museum, in exchange for information and experiences with educators who work in different realities.
