Rooms are available for short exhibitions (around 40 days) to publicise and market the products of artists and handicraft communities. Preceded by field studies and photographic documentation, the exhibitions publish an ethnographic catalogue and, as a result of the diffusion and direct contact with the public, they offer artists and artisans opportunities to extend their market and conditions to participate more effectively in the valorising and marketing process of their work.
The SAP shop also offers these artists and communities a permanent channel for their products.
About nine exhibitions are held every year since 1983, selecting the proposals received through the Popular Artist’s Room Programme of the National Centre of Folklore and Popular Culture. Possible partnerships with public and private institutions are welcome.
