Audiovisual archive

Registered items collected from almost all over Brazil, most of them previously unknown. They include records of folklore from home and abroad, ethnographic documentaries, analogue and digital photographs, precious documentation for preservation and diffusion of the collective memory of the popular cultures, in addition to a vast conceptual production on these expressions.

• The sound archive - a highlight for collections: warriors, fandango, bumba-meu-boi ox festivals, as well as masks and ballads.

• The photograph archive - highlights of the photographic collection are by Marcel Gautherot, Dundu Museum and Manuel Diegues Junior.
