It has original documents that restore the institutional memory from 1948 until today. It consists of publicity material folders, posters, invitations, catalogues and programmes; field research material, monographs and correspondence of the national and state Folklore Committees, in addition to a major part of the collection of Edison Carneiro and Manuel Diegues Jr.
